Guhagar Beach

Beach is the prime attraction of Guhagar. Guhagar beach is one of the safest and cleanest beaches of Maharashtra. In Hindi Guha is cave and gar means house, hence it can be called the cave and temple city. The prominent Shiva temples are Vyadeshwar, Talkeshwar, Udaleshwar and also famous Ganapathi Mandir and Chandika Mandir are situated. The popular Vashishti River flows close to Guhagar.
After the sunset food-stalls arise around the beach and delight the visitors. The clean, seculed beach with silky white sand will definitely be an awesome place to hangout with friends and family.
Best time to visit is from November to February.
PLACES TO VISIT:

Anjanvel fort or Gopalgad: This fort was constructed by the Siddhi’s in about 16th century and is about 11kms from Guhagar beach. But this fort now remains in ruins. The main attraction here is the Anjanvel Lighthouse.

How to reach:
Guhagar is about 6-7 hours drive from Pune. Chiplun is about 40km from Guhagar. Chiplun can be reached from Mumbai via NH-17.
