Murud Janjira Beach
One among the popular beaches of Maharashtra, 1.75 km long Murud beach looks like a festooned ornament. The vast expansion of white sandy beach and the crystal clear bluish water Murud is a delight for water enthusiasts. Fenced by the green palm trees, this pristine beach arose the imagination of any visitor.
Though the weather is warm here, the gentle sea breeze cools down the atmosphere. Accomodation: The hotels in Murud Janjira are generally booked and quite occupied between the months of September and June, but they are never fully packed. Murud Janjira has many hotels and a lot of these are lovely holiday resorts.
Murud Janjira hotels rates are a little above normal rates because it is a popular holiday destination. An economy room can be booked for Rs 1,350 per night. A double room costs Rs 2,750 a night and a deluxe room can be booked in at Rs 4,500 per night.
How to reach:
By Train: Roha railway station on the Konkan line is the nearest one which is connected by rail to Mumbai. Murud Janjira is connected to all major railheads through Mumbai. Roha to Murud Janjira takes about an hour by taxi service.
By Bus:State owned buses connect nearest cities with Murud Janjira. Buses are available from Pune, Thane, Borivli, Mumbai central and Dadar. State owned public buses charge less than Rs 1 per km.
