Sudhagad Fort
Information:- “Sudhagad is one of the ancient forts in Sahyadri. It was the glory of Bhor state.
Initially, Sudhagad was called as ‘Bhorapgad’. During empire of Shivaji Maharaj this fort was named as Sudhagad. This fort is approximately 590 meters in height. Sudhagad is a huge fort. It is called as the replica of Raigad. The first fort has several ruins of two temples dedicated to Shiva. However, the temple of Bhoraidevi(its patron goddess) is well maintained temple. On the large plateua at the summit, there are two lakes, a house, a big granary, some tombs, a shrine (Vrindavan) and numerous other ruins, scattered around the fort area. There are three main gates the largest of which is called the Maha Darwaja. From the top, other forts like Sarasgad, Korigad,Dhangad, Taila-Baila are clearly visible. ”

Water Availability:- There are many cisterns, lakes and tanks on the fort. Hence drinking water is available throughout the year.
Food:- It’s better to make food arrangement by yourself. But if it is not possible then contact Mr. More who stays on the fort. He can make food arrangement of 4 to 5 people.
Shelter:- 1.Approximately 50 people can stay in palace of Pant Sachiv.
2. Even Bhorai Devi temple is good place for a stay on the fort.
Best Time To Visit:- Any time except summer.
How To Reach:- NagothaneNagothane can be reached by Konkan Railway or S.T. buses. Nagothane-Pali distance is about 10 K.m.and frequent S.T. bus service is available, also six seater rickshaws are available
Karjat or KhopoliKarjat or Khopoli can be reached by central railway. S.T. buses are available from Karjat and Khopoli to Pali.
Also there are two ways to reach the summit of Sudhagad from
Pachhapur-ThakurwadiS.T. buses are available for Pachhapur-Thakurwadi from Pali. The first bus to Pachhapur-Thakurwadi leaves Pali at 7:15 a.m.One and half hours trek from Pachhapur- Thakurwadi will take you to the top.
DhondseS.T. buses are available for Dhondse from pali. The first bus to Dhondse leaves Pali at 8:15 a.m. This way to summit takes more time than the first way.
