It is popularly know as Narsobachi Wadi. Shri Datta Maharaj has taken an ‘avatar’- an earthly form twice. The first avatar was known as Shripad ShriVallabh and Shri Narsimha Saraswati Swami Maharaj was the second avatar, both these avatars appeared during the reign of the Bahamanis. It is very close to Kolhapur.
