Ghat Shila Temple
Ghat Shila Temple at Tuljapur has a devotional mythological story behind it. It is believed that Lord Rama and brother Lakshmana passed through the Shila (rocks) in Ghat (mountains) of Tuljapur searching for Sita. Tulja Bhawani stood on the rocks to direct Lord Rama the way to Lanka where Sita was kept.
The rock is sanctified by the presence of Lord Rama and devotees pay offers to Lord Rama at this Ghat Shila temple. The temple is from the medieval period and pilgrims constantly visit this rock temple. The temple is on the natural setting and gives the pilgrims calm and relaxing ambiance.

By Train: Nearest railway station to Tuljapur is at Solapur, at a distance of 45 km away. Solapur is well connected to all major railway stations through broad gauge. Taxi cars are available on hire from Solapur to Tuljapur. Taxi fare is about Rs 700.
By Bus:State owned transport buses ply between Tuljapur and the nearest cities. The city is connected to Pune 290 km), Osmanabad (25 km), Mumbai (350 km), Nagpur (560 km) and Solapur (45 km) by buses.
