Kalsubai Harishchandragad Wildlife Sanctuary
About:
The sanctuary area is most rugged, hilly and difficult to get accessibility. The area is part of Sahyadri and Kalsubai (1646 metres) in the highest peak of western ghats in the state. The vegetation type in southern moist mixed deciduous vegetation forest close to west coast semi evergreen forest and semi deciduous shrub savanna.

Mammal: Leopard, Jungle Cat, Palm civet, Mongoose yena, Wolf, Jackal, Fox Wild Boar, barking deer, Hare, Sambar, bats etc.Reptiles: Monitor Lizard, Fan-throated lizard, Turtles and many spices of snakes.
Birds: White nacked Storks, Herons, ibies, waterbees etc.

The climate in Bor Wildlife Sanctuary is wet and Tropical kind. It receives quite a bit of rainfall during the monsoons season (June to september).The temperature varies from 22°- 40°C in Summers to12°-33°C in Winters.

1.Nagpur- Nagpur plays host to a variety of cultural events throughout the year. Cultural and literary societies in Nagpur include Vidarbha Sahitya Sangh(for development of Marathi), Vidarbha Rashtrabhasha Prachar Samiti (promotion and spreading Hindi) and Vidarbha Hindi Sahitya Sammelan (for promoting Hindi). The Nagpur central museum (estb 1863) maintains collections are mainly for Vidarbha region.The South Central Cultural Centre also actively sponsors various other cultural events in Nagpur city, such as the Orange City Craft Mela and Folk Dance Festival, which is noted for its numerous folk-dances.
2.Chandrapur district- The city of Chandrapur has ancient temples of Ankleshwar (Lord Shiva) and Mahakali (Goddess Mahakali).Tadoba National Park near Chandrapur is one of India`s 28 Project tiger reserves and one of the famous tourist spots. Other tourist places are Ramala Tank, Junona Tank at Chandrapur, Ghodazari Project, Satbahini Tapovan At Naghbir, Adyal Tekari at Bramhpuri, Ramdegi at Chimur. The languages spoken are Marathi, Hindi, Gondi and Kolam.
3.Yavatmal- The district has poor heritage of art, architecture, and archaeology. But there are some beautiful temples and other objects of interest. Some of these are at Wani and Moho village in Darwha Tehsil. The temple of Mahadeo in Moho is very beautiful and a large number of visitors visit this temple on every ‘Chaitra Amavasya’. Tipeshwar wild life sanctuary is located in Pandarkawada Tehsil of Yavatmal district of Vidarbha region covering an area of 148.63-sq-km.The Painganga sanctuary is located in the Umerkhed Tehsil of Yavatmal district.
4.Amravati- The Temple of Goddess Amba is a famous example of spiritual architecture in the Vidharbha Region. There’s a legend that when Lord Krishna ran away with Goddess Rukhamini from her wedding ceremony, he used a tunnel laying from Ambadevi temple to Koundinyapur (another spiritual place near Amravati). This tunnel is still in existence but is now closed.
